2012 in recap

This has been a good year. And it's been my first year of blogging. It started as something that just looked like fun that I would think about when I was bored at my then unfulfiling job, and now blogging has become a part of every day!

In one year, I've changed my layout at least three times and am currently working with a professional designer for what will be my last blog makeover for a long time! I like to think that I've come a ways in my writing, too, but that's always debatable. I started blogging here not knowing what the heck I was supposed to talk to the world about and not knowing how to just sit down and write. In my times of doubt, I have compiled a lot of Pinterest fav's like this list of cool printables. I'm still trying to get over the hurtle of blogger's block. I'm also trying to get myself over to the DIY side of things - I want to post tutorials and projects. That'll be one of my 2013 blogging goals for sure - make more!

In 2012, I managed to accomplish exactly none of my 30 before 30 goals. Thank goodness I have a few more years ahead of me... I'm also thinking I'll have to update that list soon to make it a little more realistic.

However little I did do in reference to a bucket list, though, I have done some pretty cool shit.

I went to Thailand in February! (read about it here and here!)

I went to Bermuda! (read about it here!)

I took some camping trips with friends!

And, on that note, Steve and I made some wonderful new friends that are soooo fun! They're a couple just like us - go with the flow, don't need marriage, don't need kids (just need furballs) kinda people. They also like camping.

I met Richard Simmons! (Take that as you want...)

I helped raise a lot of money for the Bust a Move campaign and a local cat rescue/TNR organization!

So, even if I didn't land my dream career or move mountains, at least I have a few things to show for it. Can't really complain about you, 2012; you've been alright!
