One little word

While it's approaching mid-month, I still feel like it's early enough to be thinking about resolutions, plans and goals. January makes us all brave; it seems to make us all feel like we can take on the world. Why? Because everyone likes a fresh start. Everyone loves the inspiring thought that the slate has been wiped clean and we can rewrite our stories again during the next 365 days.

I loved this post, entitled "#onelittleword", by Kimberly from The Simplicity of Being Curious so thought I'd come up with my own word that defines what the next year of my life will entail.

While 2012 wasn't a bad year by any means, I don't feel like it was very fulfilling. That's why 2013 is going to be my year to achieve. I intend to better myself, better my community and better my future. To me, this is what it means to achieve.

Now, please excuse me. I have to run to the bathroom. I've started "achieving" one of my goals in getting healthier today... I joined the Gallon Challenge (as seen in Instagram). I went out and bought my 1-gallon jug of water (4L) and am making a point of drinking all of it everyday.

I like your word. Been thinking a lot about how I want this year to be like, as well. Happy new year!
