I thought I'd make the obligatory blogger resolution post today but then I remembered how terrible I am at resolutions. Instead, I think I'll just try and tackle a few things on my bucket list. About 6 months ago I made a 30 Before 30 list on this blog. I love making lists! Sticking to them is the hard part for me. I've decided it's time to revisit that list and edit it a bit to make it more realistic and more true to how my life is now as opposed to 6 months ago.

2) Go kayaking
3) Go snowboarding
6) Take pottery classes
7) Learn to sew
8) Learn to quilt

What I really want to tackle this week is #10 - to read for an entire day. How lovely would that be?! Maybe I can even incorporate #10 AND #15 in a joint venture - read Jane Austen for an entire day. Goal of the week? I think so! It's, obviously, going to be a great week.
What are you doing this year? I'd love to hear about your goals and resolutions!

Since I clearly love reading (ahem... refer to goals #10 & #15) I want to tell you about this new cool thing I joined in on.
A book swap! Yay!
I'm sure there is something about reading on a lot of your to-do lists so why not sign up for this swap to kick off the year?
Sign up here at The Simplicity of Being Curious!
The details:
What is a book swap?
It's an opportunity to get to know other bloggers and avid readers that are part of the blogging community. By swapping books, you're connecting with another blogger out there in the blogosphere and we're all making the interwebs a "smaller world."
When is it going on?
The month of January- sign up now until January 12th. Get to know your partner by the 19th and then ship their awesome new read by the 26th. Sound good?
How do I participate?
Follow the directions below and sign-up using the Google docs form. You'll receive an e-mail with
your blogging book buddy information (sorry, I love alliterations) and then you're set to go!
What should I include?
This part is totally up to you. A new or used book is perfectly acceptable. I personally love both and finding an awesome used bookstore or a Goodwill with a stellar book selection is always a favorite of mine. Also include a personal note saying why you selected this book for them. I've seen folks at other book swaps include: bookmarks, notebooks, book plates, etc. I plan on wrapping mine up and I just can't wait to see who I end up with. I love surprises :)

my new years resolution is to get back to printing photos and put them in a photo album instead of having hundreds of digital pics on my phone that nobody ever sees!!
:)
Seriously creepy.. see two points below.
1. My 10 year high school reunion is this year too! :) We're trying to arrange a flight back to NB in July for my grandmother's 80th birthday and drive to NS for reunion where I graduated.
2. My hubby and I are celebrating our 5 years (dating) on January 26th. Yay us.

I love lists, especially when I get to cross things OFF the list! Your 30 Before 30 list looks great (two already crossed off - way to go!).

Great goals! Yay for romantic weekends, Jane Austen novels, and camping out. I made a coat rack with a pallet and I was surprised at how easy it was and how cool it turned out! Also, I'm signed up for the book swap - thanks for co-hosting and recommending it!
