I watch the Superbowl for the nachos

I figure if I'm going to have to watch the Superbowl or be forced to leave the living room, I may as well make it worthwhile. So, I made nachos.

Want some? They were sooooo good!

What you'll need
Tostitos Multigrain
Old Cheddar cheese
Ground turkey
Tomatoes, diced
BBQ sauce (I used Cattle Boyz Original... sooo yummy!)
+ obligatory sour cream & salsa

I'm so not into watching football. Or any sport for that matter, much to my hubby's chagrin. He watches everything. Hockey, baseball, football, basketball, darts, competitive pigeon racing... You name it, he's gonna watch it. This might be why I took up blogging, actually. At the time we only had one tv and we only have one living room kinda loungy area. So, since I don't want to sit in the kitchen or bedroom or on the toilet while Steve watches his sports, I just endure it (I can't say I grin and bear it, really, because I complain a lot...).

I've got to admit that I keep looking up at every commercial, though, in hopes that it'll be one of the "new American Superbowl commercials". We don't get to see them all here in Canada, or at least on the networks that we get here in Newfoundland. You'll probably find a lot of Canadians on YouTube tonight searching for the new commercials. So far the only new one I've seen that I liked was this adorable Toyota commercial with two doggies in a kind of "anything you can do I can do better" story.

So, help a Canuck out! I'd love to see videos of your fav Superbowl commercials tonight!

We don't really watch any sports here. Once in a while we will watch if the Cowboys are playing since that is the team we love but we don't watch it on a regular basis.

We had pizza balls for dinner tonight. LOL The name sounds so funny but they were pretty good.

Have a good night!

Fellow Canadian here! We tried streaming the game online so we could also see the commericals, but it didn't work - unfortuantly! We ended up You-Tubing all the commercials afterwards. If you haven't already, the Ax commercial and the Doritos commercial are hilarious :)

I loved the Budweiser Clydesdales commercial, it made me cry. The "God made a farmer" commercial for Ram was great too. The whole room went silent went that came on.

I'm not into sports much either. ESPECIALLY football. Ugh. Luckily my husband isn't either though he did get into football this year just so he could have something to talk about with coworkers instead of being left out. He was out with friends playing Magic the Gathering during the superbowl while I was at home watching Invictus and Arrested Development, haha. I have to get a chance and look on youtube for commercials and the performances too!
