2014 reading list

What's on your reading list this year?

I set a goal for myself on GoodReads to read 26 books in 2014. In 2013, I only read about 20 books... how disappointing! The year before that, I was at 35! Candy Crush has seriously got to go from my life.

Here are my big readings plans. I'm finishing up Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and am absolutely loving it! So, just 25 more to go until I reach my goal for 2014.

Let's Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

Voyager by Diana Gabaldon
The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak
Full Frontal Feminism by Jessica Valenti
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen Degeneres
The Virgin Cure by Ami McKay

Some really good ones in the mix there. I loved memoirs of a Geisha it's such a beautiful and powerful book, beware of the tears with that one. Salem falls is another good one but then I pretty much love Jodi!
I gave myself a task between my last birthday and this years to read 50 books I am so far on 14 need to get myself in gear. x

Wild and Chelsea Handler's new book are on my to-read list, too! I'm also listening to Jenny Lawson's memoir on audiobook as we speak. I read Seriously, I'm Kidding a couple years ago and as much as I love Ellen, I wasn't a huge fan of the book. I'll be curious to see what you think!

I read the Outlander series a few years ago and stopped after the 4th...might pick it up again someday though. I'm currently reading the Book Thief and love it so far! I made my goal 30 books on Goodreads! I also LOVED Memoirs of a Geisha a few years ago and Jane Eyre is wonderful, especially now that the movie is out too :) Great list!!!

I just bought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children today! I can't wait to start reading it, sounds a little creepy. Too weird I just found your blog!

I read Ellen's book (most of it) and I am sad to say that as much as I LOVE Ellen(a LOT) it didn't have a lot of anything in it… it was like reading random thoughts, which were sometimes funny, but I guess I expected more. but maybe that is just me. And I started reading Wild. It was good, but again I didn't finish it. I'm so picky when it comes to books, it has to be an absolute page turner or else I get bored. i'm excited to see what you think of them though! I hope we get reports!
